In 1991, I started racing pigeons with my father, John, in Deventer at Radstakeweg 41. Our partnership was named J. Voskamp & Zn. We had a loft on top of our house—a magnificent place to race pigeons, offering a fantastic view over Deventer.
The pictures show my father in his younger years, standing in front of our loft. In 1999, we moved to Twello, and due to my studies in Nijmegen, I couldn’t dedicate enough time and effort to pigeon racing. However, after completing my studies in 2008, I bought a house in Colmschate with my wife, Moniek, and reignited my passion for the sport.
With the help of my father and Henny Beumer, we built a loft in the back of our garden. My father has been my greatest support throughout the racing seasons and is responsible for managing the breeding loft. His experience and dedication remain invaluable to our success.
