Ad Schaerlaeckens

In 2009, I introduced the Ad Schaerlaeckens (AS) strain into my loft by acquiring pigeons from Remko Kok, Luttenberg. In 2006, Remko had purchased 10 eggs from the legendary Ad Schaerlaeckens, specifically from his renowned Mattens × Sissy bloodline. These AS pigeons remain a strong foundation in the pedigrees of my current racing team.

One of the standout pigeons from this strain was Route 66 (10-1277266), a small smoky blue cock with an exceptional wing and remarkable racing ability. His performances were outstanding—winning three 1st-place prizes as a yearling and repeating that feat the following year.

Beyond his own racing success, Route 66 became a phenomenal breeder. He sired Governor, who in turn produced Kayne, the 1st National Ace Pigeon Short Distance WHZB 2019. Route 66 is also the father of En Route and Arrow, two outstanding breeding hens now producing top performers for Dries Baartmans in Algarve, Portugal.

Route 66’s legacy continues to influence my loft, producing winners across generations.

Leo Heremans/ Eijerkamp

In 2015, I introduced Leo Heremans pigeons into my loft by purchasing birds from Johnny Paliama. One of the most influential was a son of New Hope & Lady Jack, who became the father of Super Jack, an excellent racer. His pedigree includes legendary names like Lichte Blauwe, Rhodos, Heracles, and Jackpot.

A daughter of Messi (3rd Ace Pigeon Short Distance WHZB-TBOTB 2013) also plays a crucial role in my bloodlines—she is the mother of Governor, who later sired Kayne, the 1st National Ace Pigeon Short Distance WHZB 2019. Messi himself comes from a Janssen Brothers cock (Henk Tiel) and a Leo Heremans hen from Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp, carrying top bloodlines like Heracles and Jackpot.

Tesla (NL19-1413024) – A Key Heremans Addition

Another highly successful Heremans pigeon in my loft is Tesla (NL19-1413024), purchased directly from Hans & Evert-Jan Eijerkamp. Tesla is a perfect blend of Leo Heremans and Stefaan Lambrechts bloodlines.

• Tesla’s father, Chequer Power, is a direct son of the famous Power, a full brother to Jackpot, bred from Olympiade 003 × Blauw Kampioentje.

• Tesla’s mother, Dani, is a direct Stefaan Lambrechts hen from the super lines of Dirk van den Bulck and Willy Daniels.

Tesla has proven to be an outstanding breeder. He is the father of Lady Tess and grandfather of Alcaraz (see Top Racers page). His influence continues to shape my loft with top racing and breeding pigeons.

Bertie Camphuis, Eefde

The Camphuis pigeons in my loft come from my pigeon friend Jos van Laar, who acquired several birds from Bertie Camphuis between 2005 and 2010. Among them, the most successful were descendants of the “Kromkoppel”, a legendary pair in the Camphuis strain.

One of Jos’s standout pigeons was 05-2142480, a direct son of the famous 96-1742878, himself a son of the Kromkoppel. “Super 878” (96-1742878) achieved remarkable results, including 3rd Ace Pigeon Short Distance in Afdeling 8, competing against 3,500 fanciers.

The Kromkoppel cock was a grandson of De Lange Nek (Klaas Krom), while the hen came from a daughter of De Rover, a son of 46 Verbart (Jan & Karen De Haan)—all names deeply rooted in the Camphuis legacy.

Top Camphuis Descendant in My Loft

The most successful Camphuis descendant in my loft is Bond Girl 453, a daughter of Camphuis Lady 48, an inbred hen to the Kromkoppel. Bond Girl 453 continues to pass on the Camphuis legacy, producing strong racers in my loft.
